Polearms (Class XXVIL)
About this product
About this collection
This collection covers 82 polearm objects catalogued under Class XXVIL, delivered across 159 images in 47 ZIP assets. Class XXVIL is a variant classification within the polearm category, capturing specialist or unusual staff weapon forms that are distinguished from the main Class VII holdings. Objects may include unusual construction types, specific regional traditions, or specialist functional categories within the broader polearm family.
Why it matters
The Class XXVIL designation captures the diversity and complexity of the staff weapon tradition — the enormous variety of polearm forms developed across different national traditions, time periods, and tactical contexts requires nuanced classification. These 82 objects complement the main Class VII holdings and extend coverage into specialist polearm types.
